Join us for Walk to Remember, a heartfelt 5km walk dedicated to honouring the memory of our loved ones. This year marks our final Walk to Remember, so grab your walking boots and get outside for a scenic walk this autumn.
Walk to Remember brings together families, walkers of all ages and four-legged friends in the stunning grounds of Ashton Court. Before the walk begins, gather in our welcoming event village for refreshments, live entertainment, and a chance to connect with others.
As you walk, you'll be surrounded by the beauty of autumn. Pass through golden woodlands, alongside the deer park, and past the iconic mansion house. A scenic viewpoint offers a moment of reflection overlooking the city. Children can enjoy a dedicated activity trail along the route, making it a meaningful experience for all ages.
After the walk, take a moment to write a message, memory or thought on a special tag and hang it on our memory tree.
At St Peter's, we understand the impact of grief and loss. Our caring team offers a safe and supportive space for families, children and loved ones to share emotions, reflect on memories and find comfort in knowing you are not alone. Walk to Remember provides a way to honour the memory of your loved one alongside others who have been through a similar journey.
Money raised makes a difference to others experiencing serious illness and bereavement in your community, as one family member explained:
"The kindness and support I have received from the bereavement service following my husband's death have been second to none. Being able to talk to someone outside the family about how I was feeling and how I would cope with the situation has been invaluable. After several months I am now feeling much more positive and know things will get better."
Molly, our Fundraising Events Manager, summarised how grateful we are to have walked with you over the years:
"Since 2005, the Walk to Remember has been a highlight of our calendar. Thousands have walked with us and hung memory tags in honour of loved ones. It's an event that means a lot to us.
"Our incredible walkers have helped us raise over £317,000 for the Hospice through our Walk to Remember. Every penny raised helps us continue to be there for local patients and families - today, tomorrow and in the future.
"This year marks the final Walk to Remember in its current form, and while we say farewell to this chapter, we look forward to exploring new ways to help our community remember and celebrate those they've lost. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey, and we hope you can join us for a final time."
