Meet The Team

Our Learning and Development team is made up of a talented group of teachers and Learning and Development professionals who are passionate about palliative care, education and workforce development. They have a wealth of experience to meet the needs of individuals and teams from a wide variety of health and social care and corporate settings.

Jo Linnitt - Head of Clinical Education and Practice development

Jo Linnitt

Jo is duel qualified as a Registered General Nurse (KCH 1991), and a Paediatric Nurse (DipHE Child UWE 1996). She has 25 years' experience in both Adult and Paediatric Intensive care in various clinical and education roles. She is trained as a human factors trainer, and is passionate that all healthcare staff have the opportunity to learn, rehearse and perfect patient care and teamworking in a safe space.

Jo moved into the community setting supporting EOL education and management of the Continuing Healthcare Fast Track Team in 2015. Whilst working in BNSSG ICB, she unified CHC Fast Track services, optimising patient flow to ensure rapidly deteriorating patients, nearing the end of their life, had access to funding to support their wishes. Jo continues to mentor young people through their UCAS process as a volunteer and invested in supporting the next generation of Nurses and Allied health Professionals.

Nicky Studzinski – Lecturer 

Nicky Studzinski – Lecturer

Nicky qualified as a Registered Nurse over 30 years ago, initially specialising in caring for people with infectious diseases. Her interest in palliative and end of life care led her to St Peter’s Hospice in 1995. Nicky’s roles have included supporting patients and families in both an in-patient setting and as a palliative care nurse specialist in the community. She has worked as an End of Life Educator with our Education team for the last 14 years, qualifying as a teacher and achieving a Masters in Lifelong Learning along the way. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge with the aim of improving end of life care and support for all. 

Kathryn Lord - End of Life Educator

Kathryn has over 30 years’ experience of working in healthcare settings. She has been a Registered Nurse since 2002 and in 2010 she completed her Bsc (Hons) in Specialist Community practice. She spent 16 years in community nursing, first as a District Nurse Team Leader and later as an Advanced Practitioner, before she joined our Education team in May 2019. Kathryn completed her PGCE in 2021.

Suzanne Taylor - Learning & Development Business Partner

Suzanne has over 10 years' experience in learning and development, having worked in some large corporate companies before joining our Learning and Development team at St Peter's Hospice in November 2021. She has an interest in blended learning, the future of learning and development and psychometrics. Suzanne has completed several learning and development professional qualifications including TAP and NVQs.

Zoe Leddra - Learning and Development Administrator 

Zoe joined our Learning and Development team in 2014. Volunteering with our commercial team and in one of our shops had given her the chance to learn more about St Peter’s and, having gained first-hand experience of working with us, she decided to apply for a job in the Education team. Zoe brings with her previous administrative experience and a BA (Hons) in Business Management and Strategy.
