New Superstore opens in Clifton

07 Mar 2024

Shops Stories

We have opened our first ever Superstore, in the former Bathstore on Jacob's Wells Rd.

It's a brand-new concept store and the first of its kind for the Hospice. Two thirds of the stock is furniture, both second-hand and new. Shoppers will also find electricals and homeware, and the usual blend of preloved clothing, vintage treasures, and accessories that the Hospice is known for.

The store offers a delivery service, and free furniture collection. There's also a donation station inside the shop for smaller items and clothing.

BBC presenter and antiques and vintage expert Izzie Balmer launched the shop with a speech encouraging people to shop and donate at the Superstore, "It's because of people like you and me, coming into the shop and buying and donating that the Hospice can continue to do the fabulous work that they do. Please spread the word and please keep popping in!"

The shop opens at a time when the Hospice is facing both an increase in demand, and ever-rising costs. By opening this exciting new shop, the Hospice will be able to engage more shoppers and generate more income.

Clothing in the Superstore

John Broomhead, Retail Director says: "It's through shops like this that we can make sure the Hospice continues to give the best end of life care possible, when people need it most. Our Superstore provides a really exciting shopping experience with quality sustainable products at great prices. We've worked hard to create a space that's vibrant and has lots of great choice. We think people are going to really enjoy shopping here, whilst knowing they are supporting an important local charity."

The Superstore address is Ground Floor, Berkeley Place, Jacob's Wells Road, Clifton, BS8 1EH (on the ground floor of the West End car park in the site of the former Bathstore).
